Waffle Flower 2020 December Release Blog Hop

Welcome to Waffle Flower’s Slimlines & Alphabets Release day! This month, Waffle Flower is looking towards the new year with 4 stamp sets, 4 dies, 2 alpha die sets, and 4 stencils! All of the products from this month’s release are already waiting for you on the website here! To see all these new goodies in action, hop along with us! Everyone’s got some fun and creative ideas to share and get your imagination flowing!  I made 4 cards to share with you all today!

<Card 1>

To begin with, I colored images from Happy Gnomes Stamp set with copic markers and die cut with the Matching dies. I cut my frame by using couple nesting rectangle dies from Slim Lacy Layers Die. I ink blended background with Tim Holtz distress oxide ink in worn lipstick onto a piece of watercolor paper, then I added the red frame with foam tape for dimension. I assembled all my colored images and added sentiment “merry” to the background. I added snowflakes and sequins to embellish my card in the end.

<Card 2>

I decided to create an elegant look for my second card. I die cut all laced stripes from Slim Lacy Layers Die and layered them with liquid adhesive and foam tapes over an A2 sized card base. I stamped and copic colored multiple foliage images from Summer Time Stamp set and hand fussy cut them. I arranged images to opposite corners and stamped the sentiment “Keeping you in my heart” from Tender Thoughts Stamp set onto the center of my card. At last, I added enamel dots to finish it.

 <Card3>

I have dropped my watercolor practicing for while long time. I figured it’s nice to pick up with it and do something with such a bigger and longer canvas. I stamped selected images from Summer Time Stamp set using distress ink in Antique Linen, After watercolored the images, I cut the background using Slim Lacy Layers Die to create textures. I added my sentiment by using Sentiment additions Combo.

 <Card4>

For my last card, it stayed with one layer card format. I stamped needed images from Happy Day Stamp set using Ranger Archival ink in Coffee and watercolored them. I sparkled green paints over the background to create textures. I ink blended the card using Tim Holtz oxide ink in Tumbled Glass and Twisted Citron to finish the card.

    Hi, Alix –
    I like all three of your cards but I LOVE the center one with the green bough (or branch). The colors are just perfect. The lacy die looks like a winner!! And you knocked it outta the park w/ your watercoloring – you’ve still got it!
